How we write and check our guides

Our guides help Indian businesses understand loans, schemes and what lenders ask for. A business may act on what we publish, so we hold it to the rules on this page.

Who writes our guides

A guide without a named author carries the byline "Capnix team". Our guides are general information. They are not financial, investment, legal or tax advice.

Sources we use

We use primary sources first: the Reserve Bank of India, the Press Information Bureau, the Gazette of India, the government's scheme portals, the Udyam portal, SIDBI, TransUnion CIBIL and a lender's own published terms. Every guide is checked against the primary source named on the page. Where only secondary sources exist, we say so and name them.

Numbers and rates

A number needs a source. We give every statistic with its year and publisher. A rate, limit or fee we quote is what a lender or scheme has published, with the date we checked it. It is not an offer from Capnix, and only a lender can tell you what it will offer you.

Review and dates

A named reviewer's credit appears on each page once review is complete. It shows the reviewer's name and qualification and the date of their review. Where a page shows no reviewer, review is not yet complete. A reviewer is never credited as the author of text they did not write.

We keep three dates apart. "First published" is fixed. "Last checked" is the date someone last re-read the facts against their sources. "Last reviewed" is the date the named reviewer signed the page. We change a date only when the work has actually been done.

How we use AI

Capnix pages are drafted with AI assistance and checked against the official sources named on each page. We do not present AI-assisted text as human-written.

How we are paid

Lenders pay Capnix when a loan is disbursed. Getting a loan through Capnix costs you nothing. See why Capnix is free. When a guide compares lenders, we use their published terms and say when we checked them.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, write to contact@capnix.ai. We correct a confirmed error on the page itself with a visible note. We also list it here with the date, the page, what was wrong and what is right.
