Business loans for online sellers and retail brands

Online sellers usually borrow for inventory before sale seasons, for ad spend and to bridge marketplace payout delays, through a working capital limit, a line of credit or an unsecured loan. Lenders read GST returns and bank statements in place of a shop, and banks may not take collateral on micro and small enterprise loans up to ₹20,00,000 sanctioned or renewed from 01-Apr-2026.

How Capnix works

Capnix is not a lender and never lends its own capital. The lender decides every approval, limit, rate and charge. We read how funding should flex with your season, share your file with lenders on our panel only after you give consent, and run it through to disbursal. Getting your loan through us costs you nothing: no joining fee, no file charge, no cut of your loan.

What lenders read when you have no shop

Without a shopfront, the records carry the case. Lenders usually start with the ones below.

  • GST returns, which show your sales on record
  • Bank statements, which show inflows, balances and bounced payments
  • Your credit history and the promoter's score
  • Marketplace payout statements, if the lender asks for them

Worked example: ₹10,00,000 of stock for a sale season

A seller funds ₹10,00,000 of stock for 45 days on a working capital limit, or takes a 12-month term loan, at 10.5% a year. That is the top of the range one public sector bank publishes for micro enterprise loans up to ₹25,00,000. It is an example, not an offer.

Item Working capital limit for 45 days 12-month term loan
Amount ₹10,00,000 ₹10,00,000
Repayment One payment after 45 days ₹88,149 a month
Interest cost ₹12,945 ₹57,783

The limit cost = amount x rate x days / 365. The term loan instalment = P x r x (1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n minus 1). Fees and taxes are extra.

How Capnix fits

  • Start with your free Capnix score. Itcompares your GST sales with your bank receipts, the mismatch online sellers most often trip on.
  • Sales and settlement data reach a lender or a Lender Partner only after you give consent. You can withdraw that consent in your Capnix account.
  • Our fee comes from the lender after disbursal, never from you.

Good to know

Questions about loans for retail & e-commerce

Yes, if a lender can read your business through other records. Lenders look at GST returns, bank statements and credit history in place of a shop. Whether a lender approves is its decision.
Bank statements and GST returns are the common starting point. Some lenders may also ask for marketplace payout statements. Public sector banks score GST, tax returns, bank data shared through account aggregators, and bureau records under their Credit Assessment Model.
Yes. A working capital loan or a line of credit suits stocking up. For example, ₹10,00,000 of stock funded for 45 days at an example rate of 10.5% a year costs about ₹12,945 in interest. Your lender sets the rate.
Not always. Banks may not take collateral on loans up to ₹20,00,000 to micro and small enterprises sanctioned or renewed from 01-Apr-2026. CGTMSE also covers retail trade, which helps lenders lend larger amounts without collateral.
Ask for the Key Facts Statement, with the annual percentage rate and every charge. A fee that is not in it cannot be charged unless you have explicitly agreed to it. A digital loan also has a cooling-off exit of at least one day, with no penalty.
Online business loan ke liye pehle apne GST return aur bank statement taiyaar rakhein. Phir lender ko apply karein ya apna Capnix score dekhein. Lender aapki sales aur bank record dekhta hai. Approval aur rate lender tay karta hai.
Nothing. Getting your loan costs you nothing: no joining fee, no file charge, no cut of your loan. A lender may charge its own fees, and they appear in its sanction letter before you sign.
